Element Wolfeboro by Nigel Cabourn

Iconic UK outerwear designer Nigel Cabourn has one passion that borders on obsession: camo prints! For his new Spring 21 collaboration, he decided to dig deep into his own archives. This time, he revived the “crazy-camo” all-over-print that he designed in the 1980s. The original fabric was produced in Japan with each color meticulously hand-printed to create a unique overlay of vivid colors and patterns. Part recon mission for the peaceful warrior, part artistic journey, Nigel Cabourn's "Tripped Out Military Vintage" reinvents the pattern through modern techniques. Our Cabourn capsule is spearheaded and modeled by Ekun Richard, an artist who made his personal connection to nature the root of his work. The centerpiece of our Spring/Summer of Love 21 collection, this unisex premium range includes a small selection of jackets, shirts, a pant and short as well as accessories and a skate deck.

With the initial source of inspiration coming from a late 80’s Nigel Cabourn ‘Cricket’ badge, this collection combines skate and streetwear attitude with classic Cabourn sportswear styling; Putting particular emphasis on Cabourn’s ‘Cricket’ label that existed throughout the late 80’s and early 90’s.
By digging into Nigel’s personal archive and early runway shows we were able to identify certain key styles that resonate with skateboarding’s style and ethos.
Iconic Cabourn colours combine with bright retro highlights and the natural white of cricket sportswear to develop a fresh summer palette. Crazy Argyles and outerlabels, reversible garments and oversized looks make for a collection that focuses on the rebellious and playful attitude of the skateboarder whilst paying homage to Nigel Cabourn’s early days.
